Tennis players! Please familiarize yourself with the most up to date tennis rules about scheduling courts. Remember, it's a 48 hour reservation for court use prior to the time you plan on playing. Also, captains, please contact the Gartners after the captains meeting with your summer home schedule. If we don't hear from you, we won't be able to schedule your matches on the sign up sheets. Also, out of neighborhood fees are due by the second match of the season, please. One check should be made out to Glastonberry from the team captain and can be turned in to Caryn or Larry Gartner.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Caryn or Larry at Cmgator12@bellsouth.net or Gartnerl@bellsouth.net Thanks and happy hitting!

Reminder: Our Annual Spring Work Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th. Each spring, we put together a list of projects that need to be performed in order to keep up and improve the Association-owned areas. Community members and their kids volunteer for assignments and work

together to complete the initiatives. It's a lot of fun and keeps Glastonberry looking great. Please visit www.glastonberry.org/workday.htm to help out.

    Pool & Community Clubhouse Issues

Pool and Community Clubhouse Problems Many of our subdivisions have pool and clubhouse areas. After hours, it is a gathering place for kids during the warm-weather months. Some of you have problems every single year and some just occasionally. Internally try and set up a communication link with your neighbors so that residents coming in and out, especially late at night, swing by the common area just to take a look-see. Cars parked in the lot after closing should be reported for follow up letters to the registered owners. Most of the time the car's owner didn't know that the kids were there and are very cooperative.

Don't forget that Fulton County has a curfew ordinance. (Fulton County Ordinance 46-140.) That ordinance, overall, says that on Sunday night through Thursday night, the curfew for those ages 17 and under is 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. On Friday and Saturday night the curfew is 12:01 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. There are exceptions that include returning from events and work but the ordinance is effective in dealing with groups of kids roaming around the subdivision after either sneaking out or the traditional "Johnny is spending the night with Bob and Bob is spending the night with Johnny" routine. Remember: Nothing good happens after midnight when it comes to kids. They don't need to be out there with all the weird people, the crazy people, and the police people.

Try and have a consistent plan to monitor the common areas especially when summer hits and school is out. Report suspicious activity and / or vehicles. Don't approach suspicious cars, either call 911 or the non-emergency number at 404-730-7911. We need to cut down on the incidents this summer. Consistent monitoring of these areas after hours will help tremendously. Confirm where your kids are and don't forget to be sneaky

    Neighborhood Alert

Neighborhood watch alert: The sprinkler system at the front entrance on Aubusson has been vandalized. Tom Broe is working on getting it fixed. Once it's repaired, we'll install teh summer plantings. Please always be on the look out for suspicious activity in the neighborhood.
